EC likely to announce Bihar poll dates today

| | Sep 07, 2015, at 07:35 pm
New Delhi, Sept 7 (IBNS) The Election Commission of India is likely to announce Bihar poll dates on Monday.

Reports said the number of phases for polling will be decided on the basis of availability of central forces.

Battle lines have clearly been drawn  with the JD(U)-RJD-Congress alliance taking on the BJP and its allies prepared to fight  the high voltage poll.

The anti-BJP alliance has projected Nitish Kumar as Chief Ministerial candidate while the BJP banks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's charisma to earn victory for the party.

Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party had walked out of the Janata Parivar in Bihar following differences over sharing of seats to be contested.
