Enough of dirty politics, Goa wants change: Arvind Kejriwal ahead of his state visit

New Delhi/Panaji/IBNS: After Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal has set his eyes on politics in the coastal state of Goa.

As Kejriwal is set to visit Goa Tuesday, he wrote on Twitter, "Goa wants change. Enough of parties buying and selling MLAs. Enough of dirty politics. Goa wants development. There is no shortage of funds, only shortage of honest intent. Goa wants honest politics. See you in Goa tomorrow."

As Goa is gearing up for its elections scheduled to be held in 2022, Kejriwal is aiming to capture power in the state, where his AAP had failed miserably in its last political adventure.

Though Congress had emerged as the single largest party without a clear majority, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had managed to stitch a few alliances to wrest power.

Not just Goa, Kejriwal has made tall promises already in Punjab and Uttarakhand due to be polled next year.

In both the states, he has promised 300 units of free electricity if the AAP comes to power.

The AAP is also set to contest polls in the country's most populous state, Uttar Pradesh, where the party has opened its account in the last municipal polls.

In Gujarat, Kejriwal said his party will contest in all 182 seats, where the Congress and BJP had a close fight in the 2017 polls.
