Five forest guards hurt in tiger attack

Sulthan Bathery Mar 24 (UNI) Five forest guards were injured, one of them seriously, when a tiger attacked them in Chemanam near here on Sunday.

The locals blocked the National Highway on Pulpally-Battery route demanding immediate action to curb the tiger menace in the area.


The agitation was called off after the forest and revenue officials assured action to trap the tiger.
