Hyderabad, Jan 22 (IBNS) The suicide note of Rohith Vemula, a Hyderabad University student who committed suicide at a hostel room on Sunday, has been sent to the forensic department for them to study some lines that were struck off, according to reports.

A police officer was quoted by Hindustan Times as saying, "The letter has been sent to a forensic laboratory for tests, including handwriting comparison. We will get the report in a few days."

Vemula reportedly wrote, "ASA, SFI anything and everything exist for their own sake. Seldom the interest of a person and these organisations match," but the lines were found to be struck off.

The police are also searching for Vemula's cell phone as his call records will help them with important leads.

The death of Vemula, a backward caste student have raised agitations in the country, with many students body protesting against the incumbent government for negligence towards the backward caste.
