Former Army chief General Shankar Roy Chowdhury lauds IAF, demands elimination of all anti-India terror outfits in POK

Kolkata, Feb 26 (UNI/IBNS) :Former Army chief General Shankar Roy Chowdhury on Tuesday waxed eloquent about the Indian Air Force (IAF) for carrying out surprise surgical strike destroying terror outfits' dens in POK, and said India should also eliminate all the terrorists and their leaders until they stop attacking Indian establishments.

"India must not suffer anymore by the Pakistan-aided terrorists and the time has come now for India to take strong action," the former military general maintained.

He said India has been keeping silent for long even after attacks on Parliament, 26/11 strike and lately killing of 40 CRPF jawans at Pulwama.

As many as 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets of the Indian Air Force struck Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) terror camps in Balakot, Muzaffarabad and Chakothi areas in Pakistan in the wee hours on Tuesday.

The attack was carried out at around 3:30 AM and lasted for around 21 minutes, IAF sources said.

As per sources, the fighter jets dropped 1,000 kg of bombs on terrorist camps across the Line of Control.
