Former West Bengal CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee to be discharged from hospital today

Kolkata/IBNS: Former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who was admitted to a hospital on Dec 9, will be discharged on Tuesday.

Bhattacharjee, 76, was admitted for treatment of acute exacerbation of his respiratory problems.

He will be kept at home care.

A bulletin by the hospital reads, "Sri Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had one more uneventful night. He slept well. All indwelling catchers are removed including the central line and other IV lines. He is maintaining all clinical parameters well.

"Planned for discharge today. As planned doctors and the nursing team will accompany him in the ambulance and will settle him at home care."

The CPI-M veteran had tested negative for Covid-19.
