New Delhi/UNI: The country's fourth semi-high-speed intercity train, Vande Bharat Express, will operate between Delhi and Una in Himachal Pradesh from Thursday.

It will connect Sikh shrines like Kiratpur Sahib and Anandpur Sahib in Punjab and shrines like Mata Jwala Devi and Mata Chintpurni.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch it from Una on Oct 13.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will take the maiden ride to New Delhi in the same train.

On Sept 30, the third Vande Bharat Express was started between Gandhinagar and Mumbai. Modi then had taken a ride between Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad.

The third and fourth rakes of Vande Bharat Express have been manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) located in Chennai.

Upgraded from the first version, the EMU vehicle of this version is capable of attaining over 180 kmph speed.

Una, an industrial town bordering Punjab, will get a big boost.

Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh as well as the Union Territory of Chandigarh will also benefit from the running of this train.

It is believed that the fourth VBE train, which will travel 385 km, will be popular among the passengers.
