Govt, protesters battle over West Bengal shutdown

Railway service has been hit as strike supporters were seen demonstrating on railway tracks.
Meanwhile, many universities are conducting exams and students are facing hurdles in reaching the centres.
"My exam centre is almost 24 kilometres away from my home. I can't find adequate transport facilities on road right now. Definitely, its a trouble that we are facing," said Adit Majumdar who will sit for his environmental sciences exam.
State-run buses are operating across the state.
