Gunfight erupts in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 22 (IBNS): A gunfight has erupted between security forces and suspected terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore area on Friday, officials said.

"Exchange of fire at Warpora #Sopore. Details will follow. @JmuKmrPolice," tweeted Kashmir Police Zone.

The identities of suspected terrorists are not known so far.

More details are awaited.

Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a massive terrorist attack in Pulwama area of the state on Feb 14.

At least 40 CRPF jawans were killed in the attack.

Since then, Indian government, political leaders, common men and even foreign nations have condemned the attack.

India has blamed Pakistan to be behind the attack.
