Gurgaon reels under mammoth traffic jam on Friday
Gurgaon, Jul 29 (IBNS): Local administration has asked schools in Gurgaon, Haryana, to remain closed for two days -- Friday and Saturday -- as the millenium city reels under a heavy traffic jam arising from flooded streets, according to media reports.
Tweeted Gurgaon Police on Friday, " 29-Jul. People coming to Gurgaon from Delhi are advised to stay back today to avoid being stuck in Traffic Jams due to flooding on roads."
Heavy rains on Thursday inundated many areas in Gurgaon and traffic stalled. For several kilometers, traffic was reduced to a crawl in areas including Sohna Road, Golf Course Road as well as localities around Huda City Centre, reported The Indian Express.
The situation showed no improvement on Friday, media reported.
