New Delhi, Jan 14 (IBNS): Twitter account of  Syed Akbaruddin, India's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, which was hacked, has been restored.

After Syed's account was restored, he said it would take more than "a hack to keep me down."

"I’m back. It will take more than a hack to keep me down. Thanks to @TwitterIndia & many others who helped. ," he tweeted.

Hackers had changed the verified account of the diplomat from 'AkbaruddinIndia' to 'AkbaruddinSyed'.

The change had even removed the verified blue tick from the handle.

Later, the verified blue tick and the name of the diplomat as used in his account was restored.
