Ambala (Haryana): Six members of a family, including two children, were found dead in Balana village in Haryana's Ambala, according to media reports.

It is suspected that the family committed suicide. A suicide note has been recovered from the house, which is being examined, police have said.

Ambala Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh said a case will be registered after recording the statements of the relatives of the family.

The deceased have been identified as Sangat Ram (65), wife Mahindra Kaur, son Sukhwinder Singh (34), his wife Reena, and their two daughters Ashu (5) and Jassi (7), police said, Indian Express reported.

Primary investigations revealed that one of the family members first killed the others and then committed suicide.

A crime team is investigating the case, said Joginder Sharma, deputy superintendent of police, Ambala.
