Heartiest congratulations to Australian Cricket Team for beating our enemy, tweets Bengal BJP leader on Pakistan semi-final defeat

Kolkata: BJP strongman and Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Suvendu Adhikari on Friday congratulated Australian team over the victory against Pakistan in the semi-final against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup match.

He said firecrackers will not be stopped in Nandigram to mark the celebration.

Pakistan had defeated India in the group stage match of the tournament earlier.

"Heartiest congratulations to the Australian Cricket Team for defeating Pakistan. People of my Nandigram Assembly area have joined fellow Indians in celebrating this moment. The firecrackers just wont stop, as if it's an extension of Diwali. Thanks again for defeating our enemy," the BJP leader tweeted.

Australia and New Zealand will face each other in the final of the tournament.
