Huge consignment of foreign liquor seized in ‘dry’ Bihar

Gopalganj, Jun 19 (UNI): Police seized 400 cartons of foreign liquor from a truck at Nachua Jalalpur check-post under Kuchaikot police station area of Gopalganj district today.

Additional police superintendent Vinay Tiwari said here that four police teams were formed on Bihar-Uttar Pradesh border and continuously raids were being conducted. In this connection, vehicles were being checked at the Nachua Jalapur check-post when the driver of a truck abandoned his vehicle and escaped from the spot.

Mr. Tiwari said 400 cartons of foreign liquor were seized from the truck later.

The seized liquor was manufactured in Haryana.
