Hyderabad: 14-year-old undergoes brain operation following teacher's assault

Hyderabad, Oct 27 (IBNS): A 14-year-old student of class 10 had to undergo brain surgery in Hyderabad, after being assaulted by a teacher, reports said.

Identified as Suresh Kumar, the victim is a student of Rajdhani School.

He was hit by a duster on the head by one of his teacher, upon failing to pay a fine of Rs 100 for not attending school for three days, NDTV reported.

After falling unconscious, the victim's family rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was operated upon.

The teacher in question is facing interrogation and has been charged with assault.
