IAF chopper makes emergency landing in Saharanpur

Saharanpur/UNI: A major mishap was averted on Thursday morning when a Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter made an emergency landing in a village during an air show on the 88th Foundation Day celebrations.

The air show was being held in Hindon air base in Ghaziabad.

According to police, the chopper made an emergency landing in the agricultural field in Kallarpur Gujjar village under Maniharan police station area at around 9:30 am.

However, both the pilot and co-pilot are safe.

Reason for the emergency landing was yet to be known and senior IAF officials have reached the spot.

Due to the heavy crowd which has rushed to the spot to see the chopper, a large contingent of police forces have been deployed.
