Illegal drugs seized, one person arrested

Guwahati, May 21 (IBNS): Police had seized huge quantity of drugs and arrested one person in Assam’s Karimganj district on Monday evening.

According to the reports, based on intelligence input, police had launched operation at Patharkandi area under Patharkandi police station and seized 100 gram heroine, other drugs, container, syringe from a house and arrested a person.

The arrested person was identified as Manjur Ahmed, who was selling the drugs.

A case has been registered at Patharkandi police station.

“We had received a information that, a person named Manjur Ahmed selling illegal drugs from a house at Patharkandi area and we had immediately launched operation. We had recovered huge quantity of drugs including 100 gram heroine, other items from the house. We also arrested the person,” a police official said.
