India designs chips, Pakistan engages in terror: Rajnath Singh targets Islamabad on Kargil Vijay Diwas

"India is building a start-up ecosystem, while Pakistan is constructing a terror ecosystem. India is manufacturing semiconductors; Pakistan is preparing suicide bombers," Singh said, targeting Pakistan.

India is recognised for space missions, while Pakistan is running proxy missions. India is sending satellites into space, whereas Pakistan focuses on sending terrorists across the border. India is providing software to the world, while Pakistan is exporting sleeper cells. India is establishing data centers; Pakistan is setting up radicalisation centers. India is connecting the world through UPI, while Pakistan is linking terrorism with hawala networks. In short, our paths diverge; should Pakistan attempt to obstruct our path to prosperity with its nefarious designs, our defence forces stand ready to deliver a befitting response,” he said, comparing the two nations.

Rajnath Singh asserted that the Central government possesses the political will to give the defence forces a free hand to respond decisively to threats, exuding confidence that no adversary would dare cast a hostile eye on India while its soldiers guard the nation's borders.

On this day, 26 July 1999, India successfully took command of the high outposts which had been lost to Pakistani intruders.

PM Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu also observed the ocassion and shared their messages on X.

Modi wrote on X: " On Kargil Vijay Diwas, our nation expresses gratitude to the brave soldiers for their extraordinary courage and commitment towards securing India. Their valour in the face of the most formidable conditions will forever remain a source of national pride. Their unwavering patriotism and devotion to duty will continue to inspire generations."

Murmu said: " On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, I pay humble tribute to those valiant warriors who laid down their lives for the protection of our motherland. Their unparalleled valor, unwavering resolve, and unparalleled patriotism stand as exemplary models of our army's glorious traditions. The nation shall forever remain indebted to them. The saga of valor of those heroic warriors will continue to inspire future generations to tread the path of national service and steadfast duty."
