Indian army douses raging forest fire in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati/IBNS The soldiers of Dao Division of Spear Corps posted in the vicinity of the Bada Kandun Village of Anjaw district doused a major forest fire on Saturday.

The soldiers were alerted about the forest fire by the villagers.

On reaching the spot, they found a raging forest fire dangerously close to the village of Bada Kandun. The soldiers realised that if not controlled immediately, the fire would burn down the entire village in no time.

The troops battled the the flames for more than 12 hours and managed to extinguish the inferno.

The relieved villagers thanked the soldiers profusely for their timely assistance and saving life and property.
