Indian Embassy in Kathmandu mourns death of Nepali historian Satyamohan Joshi

Kathmandu: The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu mourned the death of  Nepali historian Satyamohan Joshi.

He was 103.
"@IndiaInNepal expresses its deep condolences on the passing away of Nepal's literary luminary #शताब्दीपुरुष Shri #Satyamohanjoshi," the Indian Embassy in Nepal tweeted. "His legacy through his works will continue to be source of inspiration," read the tweet.

Joshi is known for his research on the history and culture of Nepal.

He was working as the chancellor of the Nepal Bhasa Academy.  

A national postal stamp, showing his portrait, was issued in his name in 2021.
