Indian envoy to Ukraine meets Lviv Mayor, Governor, discusses issue of evacuating students

Lviv: Indian envoy to Ukraine Partha Satpathy met Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi and discussed the issue of evacuation of Indian students from the war-hit nation.

"Ambassador met the Mayor of Lviv City, H.E. Mr. Andriy Sadovyi. Sides discussed the evacuation of Indian citizens in Ukraine. Ambassador expressed thanks for the support received in evacuation efforts," Indian Embassy in Ukraine tweeted.

The Indian envoy also met Lviv Governor  Maksym Kozytskyi and discussed the issue of evacuation.

The Embassy tweeted: "Ambassador had discussions with Governor of Lviv, H.E. Mr.Maksym Kozytskyi. Ambassador thanked the Governor for arrangements in Lviv and requested continued support for evacuating Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine."

Russia invaded Ukraine nearly two weeks ago.

The Indian government has been evacuating Indian students from Ukraine as a part of Operation Ganga.
