New Delhi: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished Congress leader and his key political rival Rahul Gandhi after he tested COVID-19 positive.

" I pray for the good health and quick recovery of Lok Sabha MP Shri @RahulGandhi Ji," Modi tweeted.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday confirmed he has tested COVID-19 positive.

" After experiencing mild symptoms, I’ve just tested positive for COVID," Gandhi tweeted.

" All those who’ve been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe," he said.

Rahul Gandhi is the latest top Indian politician to test positive for COVID-19.

Former Indian PM and Congress leader Manmohan Singh tested COVID-19 positive on Monday and he is currently undergoing treatment in AIIMS.
