Indians evacuated from Afghanistan to Tajikistan and Qatar board flights for Delhi

New Delhi/IBNS: The Indians, who were evacuated from Afghanistan by an IAF aircraft to Tajikistan, boarded an Air India plane for their return to India, in the early hours of Sunday, while first batch of Indians evacuated to Doha also took their flight back to the country, External Affairs Ministry said.

"1st batch of 135 Indians who were evacuated 4m Kabul to Doha over past days being repatriated tonight to India. Emb officials provided consular&logistics asst to ensure their safe return. We thank Qatar authorities n all concerned for making this possible @MEAIndia @DrSJaishankar," Indian Mission in Qatar tweeted.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted that more flights will follow to bring back the stranded Indians from Afghanistan.

India has also evacuated and is bringing back two Nepalese nationals, who were stranded in Afghanistan.
