| @indiablooms | Jun 13, 2022, at 04:06 pm

Jammu: Alert BSF troops successfully foiled an infiltration bid along the international border in Arnia sector here, officials said on Monday.

BSF spokesman DIG SPS Sandhu on Monday said that alert BSF troops observed suspicious movement close to the IB in Arnia Sector last night at about 9:30 pm.

"The BSF troops challenged the people, after which miscreants fired at them, but it was effectively retaliated upon by the BSF troops forcing them to return back," he said.

The spokesman said that a thorough search was carried out of the area early this morning but nothing has been recovered so far.

Earlier on June 9, BSF troops fired at a suspected drone and pushed it back in Arnia sector of Jammu.

On June 7, police and BSF shot down the payload attached with the drone and recovered timer IEDs packed in tiffin boxes in Kanhachak sector of Jammu.
