Jammu and Kashmir: Civilian killed by unidentified gunmen in Budgam

Srinagar/UNI: A civilian was killed by unidentified gunmen in the central Kashmir district of Budgam on Sunday.

A senior police officer said that unidentified gunmen fire at a civilian, identified as Ghulam Mohammad Khan, at Buchipora Magam in Budgam on Sunday afternoon. 

“Khan was critically injured in the attack,” he said, adding the wounded was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed.

He said the gunmen managed to escape during the chaos created due to the firing.

“Security forces have been rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers,” he added.
