Jammu and Kashmir: Div Com asks DCs to submit list of locations notified for Block Divas

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma Monday asked the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division to submit the list of locations identified/notified by district administrations for Block Divas.

He was chairing a meeting of DCs of all districts of Jammu division through video conference.

The Deputy Commissioners informed that locations have been notified and the same would be submitted.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed the arrangements for conduct of Gurudwara Parbhandak Committee elections in the districts.

The DCs informed that the process is on for conduct of elections.

The Div Com asked DCs to put in place all necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of elections.

The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the progress on transfer of government land cases in the districts.

It was informed that most of the land cases have been resolved and land has been transferred to the concerned departments.

The Div Com asked the DCs to expedite the process and complete the pending land transfer cases, if any.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner also directed the DCs, health department to increase per day Covid testing capacity in the districts.

The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Jammu, ACR Jammu and other concerned officers in person.
