Jammu and Kashmir: Gun battle erupts in Kulgam
Kulgam: A gunbattle has erupted between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, media reports said.

Police said the encounter started at Nowpora-Kherpora, Trubji area of Kulgam during an anti-militancy operation which was launched by joint forces following an input about militant presence.
Police and security forces are on the job, a police spokesman said.
This month 29 militants have been shot dead in various gunfights across Kashmir.
