Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist killed during Kulgam encounter

Srinagar: A Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist was killed in an ongoing gun battle in Kashmir's Kulgam district, officials said here on Saturday.

The encounter started this evening at Mirhama area of Kulgam, when police and Army were carrying out a search operation.

In the initial firing, a militant was killed, police said.

"One #Pakistani #terrorist of proscribed #terror outfit JeM killed. #Operation in progress," Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Vijay Kumar was quoted as saying in a police tweet.
