Jammu/UNI: Security forces busted a terrorist hideout and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.

A senior police official here on Sunday said that the joint team of police and army on Sunday busted a terrorist hideout and foiled a conspiracy to carry out attacks in the region.

He said that acting on specific inputs, security forces launched a search operation and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from the Hadal Nala area.

The recovery included one 12 bore gun, a wireless set, 104 rounds of AK-47, two UBGL grenades and an explosive device.

“It was a huge success by the synergy and coordination of the security forces ahead of Republic Day celebrations,” he said.
