Jammu and Kashmir: Two persons arrested with grenades in Baramulla

Baramulla/UNI: Security forces arrested two persons and recovered two grenades from their possession in border town of Uri in this north Kashmir district, official sources said on Monday.

They said a joint checkpoint was established at Boniyar in Uri by security forces and police.

Two persons Liyaqat Ahmad and Akhtar Ahmad, seen moving in a suspicious manner, were stopped, the sources, adding later, two Chinese hand grenades were recovered from their possession.

They said a case FIR No 30/2021 under section 7/25 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Boniyar and further investigation taken up.
