Ranchi/UNI:  A total of 14 girls, including 8 minors, were rescued by a team of Ranchi RPF while being trafficked to Hyderabad.

An FIR in this connection has been registered at Anti Human Trafficking unit at Kotwali Police Station.

The RPF officials said that these girls were to be taken to Hyderabad and originally hail from Latehar district.

The girls had been sent to Ranchi railway station on Friday morning when an RPF jawan noticed the group.

When probed, the girls could not reveal where they were going, after which the RPF team swung into action and arrested a human trafficker who was taking these girls to Hyderabad from Ranchi railway station.

The racketeer had planned to transport the girls to Hyderabad through the Darbangha-Secunderabad Express.
