Jharkhand: Two minor girls drown in Dam in Garhwa

Garhwa/UNI: Two minor girls drowned in a local dam located under Bansidhar Police Station area of this district on Friday.

Family members said that after returning from tuition, the girls left their homes for grazing the cattle. As the temperature was on a higher side they went into the waters of dam to take a bath where they were drowned.

The deceased have been identified as Sumitra Kumari (13) and Manisha Kumari (12). Both were cousins and studied in Holy Cross Middle School Nayakhand.

Upon receiving information a large number of people gathered at the spot and took out the girls from water but by that time both of them had died.
