J&K CM visits hospital to meet cops injured in militant attack

Srinagar, Aug 1 (IBNS) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed visited Army Hospital to enquire about the health of the police personnel, who were injured in a late night attack on Friday by militants on a police party near Mirgund on Srinagar-Baramulla Highway, an official spokesman said on Saturday.

Mufti condemned the attack and asked the doctors treating the injured police personnel to provide all medical facilities so that they get well in time. 

Mufti was  accompanied by GoC, 15 Corps, Lt. Gen. Subrata Saha, DGP, K. Rajendra Kumar, and several other officers.

SHO, Police Post Pattan, Mohammad Saleem and two other police officials, Dilshad Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad, are currently admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for advanced treatment in 92 Base Hospital here.

Sayeed interacted with all the three injured police personnel admitted in the ICU and enquired about their well-being.

SHO Pattan also narrated the incident to the Chief Minister in which they came under fire from the militants.

He was also briefed by the doctors at the hospital about the medicare facilities being provided to them.

Mufti Sayeed also met the mother and wife of the SHO and sympathized with them.

Wishing them speedy recovery, he assured the family members of all the three injured police personnel of providing best possible healthcare facilities required for their treatment. 


While SHO Saleem is under round-the-clock observation of the hospital authorities, the condition of the other two police officials is stabilizing , a spokesman added.
