Fates of senior Congress leaders and ministers Sham Lal Sharma (Akhnoor), Raman Bhalla (Gandhinagar), Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand (Chhamb) and Manohar Lal Sharma (Billawar), who are among total of 213 candidates, will be decided by voters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jammu thrice during the campaign to urge voters for vote in favour of his party candidate.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of peaceful polling in fifth phase of elections in Jammu Division.

In a crucial meeting, Director General of Police  Rajendra stressed upon the officers to ensure high alertness, especially in the border areas to check any infiltration attempt.
