Bollywood actor Kangana Ranawat has said she is open to fighting the Himachal Pradesh assembly election from Mandi if people want it and the BJP gives her a ticket, according to media reports.

She told the TV channel, Aaj Tak, that she is ready to join politics and open to all kinds of participation.

"Depending on the situation, the kind of participation the government would expect from me that I will be very much open to all kinds of participation," she said.

She further added, "As I said, it would be great if people in Himachal Pradesh would give me a chance to serve. So, definitely, it will be sobhagya ki baat."

The National Award-winning actor, who has been an open supporter of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reiterated her praise for the PM and called him "Mahapurush".

"It is sad that both PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi are competitors. But, Modiji knows he has no opponent," she said.

She said Himachal Pradesh won't fall for "freebies" promised by Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Admi Party (AAP).

"Himachal Pradesh won't fall for false promises of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). People in Himachal have their own solar power and people grow their own vegetables."

"Freebies won't work for AAP in Himachal, " she added.

Kangana will be next seen on the silver screen playing the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her movie 'Emergency'. The film also features actors Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade and Milind Soman.

She also has Tejas in the pipeline. She has bankrolled Tiku Weds Sheru featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
