Karnataka Home Minister tests positive for Covid-19

Bengaluru/UNI: Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.

In a tweet in Kannada, the minister stated that he is asymptomatic.

As per the doctor's advice, he will be on home isolation. He also asked those who came in contact with him recently to go for a test and take precautionary measures.

Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu Chavan, Labour Minister A Shivaram Hebbar, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K S Eshwarappa and Women and Child Development Minister Shashikala Jolle had also tested positive for the contagion.

Last month, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Health Minister B Sriramulu, Tourism Minister C T Ravi, Agriculture Minister B C Patil, Forest Minister Anand Singh, Congress leaders Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar were among those who had tested positive and have now recovered.
