Thiruvananthapuram/IBNS: All three medical students infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kerala have been cured of the disease, Kerala’s Health Minister KK Shailaja Teacher said on Friday.

Shailja Teacher said that the three students who had tested for the infection had been quarantined and recovered. They were now cured, she said, informed media reports.

According to reports, as many as 3500 people suspected to have the infection were quarantined in Kerala and were released after 28 days of confinement, the state Health Minister has said.

Still, at least 135 people are under home quarantine, she added.

All three students had returned after the outbreak from China's Wuhan city which is the epicenter of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. They were quarantined and treated Kerala's highly equipped government hospitals in Kasaragod, Thrissur and Alappuzha districts, said reports.
