Kerala CM expresses happiness over release of IAF pilot

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 1 (UNI): Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday expressed happiness over the release of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

“It is heartening to learn about the release of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. He has inspired the entire country with his bravery and conduct," the Chief Minister said in a statement.

"On behalf of the people of Kerala, I welcome him," the CM added.

The Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, captured by Pakistan on Wednesday, is expected to handed over to India at Attari-Wagah border on Friday.
