Vijayawada/IBNS: Triggering speculations, parliamentarian Kesineni Nani on Thursday quit Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and went on to meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, who heads YSRCP.

Kesineni, also known as Kesineni Srinivas, took to X to post his resignation letter to Naidu, a former state Chief Minister.

Kesineni writes, "After careful consideration and personal reflection, I have decided that it is in my best interest to discontinue my association with the party."

"I want to express my gratitude for the opportunities and experiences I have had as a member of the TDP over the years. However, my personal circumstances and beliefs have evolved, leading me to this decision," he adds.

The 57-year-old has also reportedly submitted his Lok Sabha MP resignation letter to Speaker Om Birla.

Kesineni met Reddy and posted on X, "Had a productive courtesy call with Chief Minister @ysjagan Garu today. Discussed important matters concerning our state's progress and development. Grateful for his time and commitment to our shared vision for a better future."

Kesineni was an MP from Vijayawada parliamentary constituency.
