Prayagraj, Mar 26 (UNI) Kinnar Akhara's Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi may contest the Lok Sabha elections from Prayagraj.

Kinnar Akhara sources on Tuesday said the Mahamandaleshwar is in talks with the Bharatiya Janata Party and Indian National Congress leaders.

She had left for New Delhi this morning.

Sources said after her return, she is expected to make a formal announcement on her candidature.

Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi had formed the Kinnar Akhara four years ago during the Ujjain 'Kumbh.'

Later, despite Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad's protest, they had taken out a 'Devatva Yatra' at this year's 'Kumbh.'
