Kolkata: 20 feet long tunnel found near Army headquarters

Kolkata, Sept 15 (IBNS): A mysterious 20 feet long tunnel was found on Tuesday at the eastern flank of Red Road under Maidan Police Station area in Kolkata, very close to Indian Army's Eastern Command's headquarters Fort William, reports said.
According to reports, few pedestrians saw the tunnel on Tuesday afternoon and informed the police.
 
Kolkata Police officials, officers from the Disaster Management Group (DMG) and the Indian Army personnel went to the spot. After primary investigation, police have covered the tunnel temporarily.
 
However, police have started investigation into the matter to know if there is any terrorist connection in this case.
 
Another 11.5 feet long and 4.5 feet wide tunnel was discovered beside Red Road in Kolkata in Nov, 2013.
