Lockout announced at Besco's wagon production unit in Kolkata

| | Jan 31, 2017, at 03:40 am
Kolkata, Jan 30 (IBNS): Authority of the Besco Limited on Monday suspended work in its wagon manufacturing unit at Bullygunge in Kolkata indefinitely as the company is facing huge losses due to labour unrest, reports said.

Protesting against several internal issues, the labours' union went on strike and stopped working since last few days.

Due to the labour unrest, wagon production in Besco's Kolkata unit deteriorated and the organization on Monday morning put up a 'suspension of work' notice in its Ballygunge facility.

At least 198 people lost their jobs due to the factory shut down.
