Lok Sabha to be adjourned after tribute to Munde

New Delhi, June 4 (IBNS) The first sitting of the 16th Lok Sabha will be adjourned for the day on Wednesday after paying homage to Union Minister Gopinath Pandurangrao Munde, who lost his life on Tuesday due to multiple internal injuries after his car was hit by another vehicle in the national capital.

Former parliamentary affairs minister and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath will preside over the proceedings of the Lower House of the Parliament as the pro-tem Speaker.

President Pranab Mukherjee will administer Nath's oath at Rashtrapati Bhavan before the Lok Sabha assembles on Wedmesday.


The election of a new Speaker will be held on June 6.  

The Rajya Sabha will convene from June 9.
