LS polls : 42 candidates file nominations in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 5 (UNI) As many as 42 candidates including four women, belonging to national, regional, smaller parties and independents have filed 52 nomination forms till last day in Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency.

The nominations were filed on Thursday, while scrutiny of all the forms to be taken place on Friday.

The last day of the withdrawal of nomination is April 7 said returning officer and district collector is Uday Chaudhari.

Prominant leaders who are in fray are Chandrakant Khaire, four time MP from Shiv Sena, Congress nominee Subhash Zambad, who is Mlc from Aurabgabad-Jalna local bodies, AIMIM candidate who is presently Mla of Aurangabad central assembly constituency, Kannad Erstwhile Sena Mla Harshavardhan Jadhav filed his nomination on Shivswaraj Bahujan Paksh, Subhash Patil behalf of Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksh, Congress former district chief Abdul Sattar has also filed his nomination as Independaant canidate, he added.

The election will be held on April 23.
