M Hamid Ansari condoles loss of lives in Patna mishap

New Delhi, Jan 15 (IBNS): Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari has expressed condolences over the Bihar boat tragedy.

In a message, M. Hamid Ansari said he prayed to the Almighty to give the bereaved families of the victims the strength and fortitude to withstand this immense loss.

The mishap has left 24 people dead.

Following is the text of the Vice President’s message:

“It is with profound grief that I have learnt of the loss of lives caused by the boat tragedy in Bihar. My thoughts are with the bereaved families.

I am informed that the Central and State Government agencies have been carrying out relief and rescue work.

I convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families and pray to the Almighty to give them strength and fortitude to withstand this immense loss."
