Thane/UNI: Thane Palghar MNS chief Avinash Jadhav was among 20 party activists arrested for allegedly violating prohibitory orders by attempting to hold ‘dahi handi’ celebration here on Monday.

Those arrested, including Thane city party leader Ravindra More, had dared that they would celebrate Krishna Janmashtami despite the police ban.

In the same regards, they staged a dharna on the Bhagwati school grounds just near the police station.

Hence, they were held and taken to the Naupada police station, cops stated, adding that they were released later.

Despite the police action, the Raj Thackeray-led party has vowed that “come what may we will go ahead with our plans”.
