Maharashtra: Motorcyclist dies, woman injured in accident in Kohlapur

A man died on the spot while a woman was seriously injured in an accident that occurred at Mhasvad in Satara district on Satara-Pandharour road on Wednesday.

According to Mhasvad police, deceased identified as Abhishek Jadhav (30), a resident of Satara city,was on way to Satara city by motorcycle with a woman, Neha Jayvant Savant (27) when a speedy dumper that was on his way to Dahivadi, hit their motorcycle from behind in Mayani Chowk in Mhasvad on Satara-Pandharour road.

In this incident, motorcyclist Abhishek died on the spot. He came under the wheel of the dumper and was crushed to death, while Neha was seriously injured with her two broken legs as the dumper ran over her legs. She was admitted to Satara Civil Hospital.

The police are investigating further.
