Maharashtra: Two members of migrant group test COVID-19 positive in Kolhapur

Kolhapur/UNI: A 42-year-old woman, who was one in the 30-people group secretly travelling from Mumbai to native Karnataka, has tested COVID-19 positive after being detained midway by patrolling police, stated District Surgeon Dr B C Kempi Patil on Monday.

Recently, these persons concealed in a container vehicle, were intercepted on Pune-Bengaluru national highway.

he sleuths took all of them to the Chhatrapati Pramila Raje Hospital where their swab samples were sent for COVID-19 testing.

On Sunday, a 50-year-old man among the group tested positive while today the report confirmed that the woman has been infected from the contagion, he added.
Meanwhile, other confirmed case was found in a sexagenarian in Ichalkaranji town hence taking this district's pandemic tally to nine, apprised Dr Patil.
