Man caught on CCTV beating woman in Karnataka temple

Kolar, Oct 18 (IBNS): In a disturbing visual, an engineer was caught on CCTV beating a woman at a temple in Karnataka with a machete.

The man, a 24-year-old engineer,  struck Kumari, the administrator of the Kotilingeshwari temple, about a dozen times before he was restrained.

She survived the attack that took place on Sunday night.

However, the woman received a head injury and deep cuts on an arm.

Santhosh, the accused in the case, has been arrested by the police.

According to report, the police suspect that the attack on Kumari was a planned one regarding an old dispute between their families.
