Manipur: BJP MLA resigns from MANIREDA, following 4 others from state govt agencies in April

Imphal (Manipur): Another BJP MLA Khwairakpam Raghumani Singh on Monday resigned from the chairmanship of Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA).

In his resignation letter to Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Kh Raghumani Singh said he resigned from the post "…for personal reasons and also in the public interest. It is felt that my continuance as chairman of MANIREDA is not called for at this juncture".

With this, four BJP MLAs have resigned from administrative posts.

On April 8, BJP MLA Thokchom Radhesyam resigned from the post of advisor to the Chief Minister, followed by the resignation of Langthabal MLA Karan Shyam who stepped down as the chairman of Tourism Corporation Manipur Limited.

Wangjing Tentha MLA Paonam Brojen resigned from the chairmanship of the Manipur Development Society on April 20.
